The first half of the Conference takes place in Kyoto, where the participants have an opportunity to take part in practical workshops and learn new ways of expression through demonstrations.

Makino comes to us in the middle the Japanese academic year and from one of Japan's most respected woodblock printmaking programs to offer a unique demonstration of water-based intaglio woodblock printmaking using a traditional baren.
